From the Fire Chief

We would like to thank you for visiting our webpage and we hope your having a great day. We here at the Millersville Rural Fire Protection District thank you for your support and the opportunity to serve our community. Without your support we would not be able to complete our duties needed to protect our community and its members, as well as the visitors who travel through our district every day.

We at the Millersville Rural Fire Protection District strive to maintain the highest level of training achievable for our members to mitigate the challenges we face day to day during emergency responses. And to maintain our equipment, which has been entrusted to us by the citizens of our district, to the highest level of readiness possible.

Millersville has an annual average of 25 active members who are fully volunteering of their time away from their families to help our citizens in need at anytime of the day or night. We operate out of three (3) stations located through out our district. We operate and maintain three (3) engines, three (3) water tenders, two (2) brush trucks and a UTV, one (1) medical response vehicle, one (1) reserve engine and a utility pick up truck. Millersville Rural Fire Protection District covers approximately 55 square mile, approximately 1800 structures and around 4800 residences. Millersville Rural Fire Protection District is governed by a five (5) member Elected Board of Directors consisting of a Board President, Board Secretary, Board Treasurer, Board Chaplin and Board Custodian of Records all whom are appointed to a six (6) year term. The Board of Directors meets once a month to cover department business and these meetings are open to the public. Millersville Rural Fire Protection District Board of Directors normally meet on the third (3rd) Monday of the month at 18:30 (6:30 pm) located at our Headquarters Station 1, addressed at 155 County Road 482 Millersville Mo. 63766. 

Millersville Rural Fire Protection District Fire Chief Ray Warner has been in the fire service for 45 years. Joined the US Air Force and graduated the Air Force Fire Academy in September of 1978. Four years later joined the Cape Girardeau Fire Department where he served for 33 years. Chief Warner has been a member of the Millersville Rural Fire Protection District since 2013 and has served as Fire Chief since 2017.
